RISE UP Training Program Delivery
All RISE UP trainers and assessors are registered Supervisors and hold training and assessment qualifications. The face to face three-day workshop consists of the following:
The first day will start with a short PowerPoint presentation which will discuss the theory of working with groups. You will then spend the rest of the day putting the theory into practice through group supervision practicals.
Day two focuses on individual supervision revising the theory of the RISE UP model followed by practicals putting the RISE UP model into practice.
Day three is the formal assessment phase; each student will need to complete a full Supervision session as a Supervisor using the RISE UP model.
RISE UP Training Philosophy
There are no role plays in The RISE UP training program. Our philosophy is that you can’t learn the real from the unreal. All students are to bring real and relevant issues for supervision to the workshop. Revisiting an old issue that you still dwell on is also fine. The assessment phase is the perfect opportunity to discuss a real supervision issue in safety outside your usual work environment. Please ensure that the issues are of a nature that you would discuss with your supervisor and not personal counselling issues.
Using the text and completing the questionnaire will give you a good indication of the scope of the issues that you may choose to bring. Additional Information can be found on the:
